Evaluation Meeting for the 2024 KSA Survey Activities and Preparation for the 2025 KSA Survey

On Monday, December 16, 2024, the BPS of Sintang Regency held the Evaluation Meeting for the 2024 Kerangka Sampel Area (KSA) Survey Activities and Preparation for the 2025 KSA Survey. This event took place at the BPS Sintang Regency office and was attended by field data collection and inspection officers, consisting of both partners and organic BPS personnel from Sintang Regency. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, with both in-person (offline) and online (virtual) participation, allowing attendees from distant subdistricts to join the meeting virtually.

The meeting was opened by the Head of the BPS Sintang Production Team, Anggiat Roy Silalahi. In his opening remarks, Anggiat emphasized the importance of the KSA Survey as it provides data on national harvested area. Therefore, a joint commitment is required to maintain data quality and adhere to the KSA Survey schedule.

The purpose of this meeting was to evaluate the 2024 KSA Survey activities and prepare for the 2025 KSA Survey. The evaluation of the 2024 KSA Survey included discussions on the consistency of observation values, the quality of photos taken, challenges faced by the officers (both field challenges and application-related issues), and the solutions implemented to address these challenges. The preparation for the 2025 KSA Survey included discussions on the KSA Rice and Corn materials, the use of the new KSA Corn application, the new KSA Corn codes, and mitigation steps to reduce potential risks from possible issues.

This activity is expected to enhance the performance of the KSA Survey officers, ensuring smooth operations and the production of high-quality data.
